Tradeshow/Expo Event Report

Event Attendance:
This year’s NPC Border States was another successful Southern California NPC event.  Jon Lindsay’s contests are very consistent draws for fans across the region.  This contest was no exception.  Although this contest was slightly smaller than past events, with attendance estimates at only just over 600 people, the Cooke Auditorium was still packed with our hardcore crowd of athletes, competitors and attendees.

Of course, the usual crowd of industry celebrities was in attendance.  Athletes including IFBB pro’s and Olympian competitors, Adela Friedmansky, Sonya Adcock, Gina Aliotti were seen strutting their stuff; IFBB pro’s Bob Cicerillo, Hidetada Yamagishi, Sylvio Samuel, Zhana Rotar and up and coming NPC USA finalist, Tamer Guindy were also in attendance.

I had the opportunity to discuss our products with retailers from the area who were in attendance.  Garrett Hawkins of L.A. (owner of 2 Nutrition Zone stores in Covina and L.A.) was extremely interested in our line and possible in-store demos; and Armondo from Old Skool Sports Nutrition of Aliso Viejo was excited about how fast Hyperdrive was turning.  I had the opportunity to speak with him about additional sales and up sell tactics using Jungle Warfare, Bad Ass Mass and Restore

Our spokesperson, Laura, for Lindbergh Nutrition stores in Huntington Beach and Torrance said that the staff at these two stores was very excited, receptive about the in-store demos we were performing at these locations since the Olympia.  Laura stated that these store staff reported selling an average of 10 units of Hyperdrive each day.

Booth Highlights:
Booth construction was uncomplicated. Our booth was positioned in the prime booth location, just inside the front doors of the venue.  From this position, we had first access to any and all attendees who entered the building.
We used 2 of the new “pop up” banners for this display.  We sampled Hyperdrive and gave out several Jungle Warfare ALR industries t-shirts to interested fans.  Fans and especially the retailers who visited our booth tonight appreciated the look and set up of the tri-fold product literature.
When our Superstar physique competitor, Luc Andreotti was not on the stage flexing, he was at the booth, meeting fans and potential customers.

Product Feedback:
As mentioned above, product was reported to be moving well through several independent retail locations.
Potential customers interested any of the products were directed to any number of local retail accounts we have demo’d at, including 619 Muscle in San Diego, Old Skool Sports Nutrition in Aliso Viejo, Lindbergh Nutrition, any of a number of Nutrimarts, Max Muscle’s and Nutrisports in the greater Southern California region. And now we’re also sending customers to Vitamin Shoppes for our products!

Feedback has been very positive from all customers who have tried the product.  And, at this event specifically, feedback from two retail accounts report that the line is doing well in their stores.

A special thanks to show promoter, Jon Lindsay, for his cooperation and support.
